My husband and I moved to Cocoa Beach in 2015 from the Philadelphia/South Jersey area (GO EAGLES!). We have six children and seven grandchildren (so far).

Hobbies

My main hobby is playing the ukulele. I started playing about 2 years ago (my first ever musical instrument), and am hooked. It is a wonderful instrument, and the ukulele community is so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Currently, I am the leader of the River Bend Ukulele Group, a group of beginner to intermediate players. We meet weekly and sometimes play for volunteer events.

I also enjoy making greeting cards, knitting, cooking, and cake decorating.

Volunteer

I’m very active in the American Red Cross, Space Coast Chapter, Brevard County. Currently, my title is The Pillowcase Project and Prepare with Pedro Coordinator.

• The Pillowcase Project is a program that teaches disaster preparedness and home fire safety to students in 3rd - 5th grade.

• Prepare with Pedro is a pilot program that teaches home fire safety to students in K - 2nd grade

The Rockledge office is a phenomenal place to volunteer, and is always looking for new people. I highly recommend it.
